What Is Creating Joy Through Gratitude?
Creating Joy Through Gratitude is a 30-day email based digital course designed to help you practice mindfulness and get you in the habit of creating a daily gratitude practice.
Each day you will receive an email from me with a daily lesson focusing on a specific area of gratitude. Included with the daily email will be a worksheet for you to fill out with your answers, thoughts, personal explorations, and insights for each lesson. It will also include space for you to write down your gratitude list for each day. In addition, you will receive several videos to support the lessons that I am teaching.
At the end of the course, the daily emails and the worksheets will serve as your Creating Joy Through Gratitude reference book. You can print and bind it and use it as a reference to help you continue with your daily gratitude practice.
In addition, you will get access to our private Facebook group where you will meet other women participating in the course with you. There you will find inspiration, be a source of inspiration for others, and make new friends.
I am very active in the Facebook community and you will receive support from me during the duration of the course.
What the Creating Gratitude Course is Not
Creating Joy Through Gratitude is not a Pollyanna form of gratitude. It does not gloss over the fact that life gets messy and feeling pain is inevitable and an invaluable part of your journey through life. It is not going to be a magic eraser to eliminate all negative emotions.
You are responsible for your own wellbeing. Although it is supportive in nature, Creating Joy Through Gratitude is not a substitute for personal counseling or coaching.

For most of my life I have been advocating the power of being grateful. Then Life events pop up and I slowly found myself slipping away from what had always provided me Joy. I want share with you a piece of my wonderful experiences that occurred in my life when I decided to commit to your 30-day Challenge, Creating Joy Through Gratitude, in hopes others will discover what I did.
At first I was thinking, “oh boy can I live up to what is being challenged?” The one thing I have learned about me, when I commit I am in all the way. No short cuts.
I had been in hiding and I had displaced my heartfelt feelings over the last few years. I blamed it on the events that were going on in my life. The “poor me” girl was thriving. The arrival of you into my life with the daily gratitude homework and your openness and vulnerability to share your own stories provided a safe zone to explore and express myself without any boundaries to what I would discover within and needed to lift away. Most of my life has been one of great control. I was taught from a very young age to be strong, you must control your pain. I was a people pleaser, so I did what I was told by those who I loved the most.
The Gratitude Challenge gave me the booster shot to rekindle my love affair with me, to let my walls down, and to reopen what has always been co-existing within my shadows. I discovered the power to love, to forgive, to create, and most of all to heal what blocked me from expressing and living the life of the divine me.
As I would list my daily 5 gratitudes, I found myself listing more and more each day. When I gave thanks for a little I found a lot. I discovered I can’t just go through the motions. I had to make a decision to be consciously more grateful. From this course I have integrated into my bedtime routine to express, and sometimes write down, my joyful experiences for that day. I have learned that when I am not in the moment, I can get right back in the moment when I acknowledge that I am not. So simple and so powerful.

I started my journey all by myself several years ago. I removed as much negativity from life as I could. This journey is a daily one…I make the choice each day to be grateful for all that I have and to be happy. Can I give this course as a gift?
Absolutely! When registering make sure to enter the person’s name and email address on the registration form so that they receive the daily emails containing the lessons. It would be a good idea to make sure the person you are gifting the course to is on board with participating before you make the investment.
